Friday night DH & I experienced a fabulous concert at Massey Hall in Toronto.
Gordon Lightfoot ... a Canadian music legend ... shared his talent with us. It was a wonderful night.
Still has that amazing voice that we've come to know & love ... and despite his age ... turned 74 on November 17th ... (we all sang Happy Birthday to him) the crowd totally enjoyed his performance!
I was most impressed by the light show! There were these cool triangular shaped pieces of cloth strung up & down from the stage ... and reflected graphics in an awesome variety of colours!
He sang so many of his past hits ... and I was thrilled with them all ... especially "the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald
Awesome night!

Sounds like a wonderful event. Lucky You!
Hi Gwen ... it really was special to see him again after so long(saw him in the same venue some 25+ years ago) ... and he was just as great!
Massey Hall has amazing acoustics especially for a performer of his calibre ... which is why I think he likes to play there exclusively.
He's really quite humble with the crowd ... and appreciates the respect given him ... deep bows ... big waves ... so respectful of those who have followed his talented career & who enjoy his accomplishments.
Truly a pleasure to see!
Gord will always be GOLD in my books! Love his music. Saw him live back in the early 70's. Glad you enjoyed the Show Marie!
The one song he didn't do was the Canadian Railroad Trilogy ... but he did perform a shortened version of it during the half-time show ... at the 100th Grey Cup game this past Sunday!
Awesome Argos ... won!
